Requirements:

Required sample volume: 0.5 ml (minimum 0.1 ml)

Sample collection, storage and transport:
- Urine (preferably first morning void) should be collected, and 0.5 ml aliquot transferred into a sterile 1.5 ml microcentrifuge tubes labeled with specimen ID.
- The same aliquot is used if creatinine test is ordered, so there is no need for an additional tube.
- Samples should be stored at -80oC until shipping.
- Ship on dry ice in a rigid, leak-proof container by overnight delivery.
